BLUE WATER ENTERTAINMENT'S MISSION STATEMENT

In 1995, Greg Reitman was hiking with three friends in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, near Sydney, Australia. In the interior of the mountains they came upon lush waterfalls and stunning cascades. It was there, under the most spectacular Blue Mountain waterfall, that Greg had the epiphany of creating a production company called Blue Water Entertainment. Harnessing that passion, drive and endurance, Greg began his filmmaking journey toward creating and producing environmentally conscious films for the big screen that would capture the hearts, minds and souls of the audience.

Today, Blue Water Entertainment is a leading independent production company, developing and producing content in narrative, television, music, short form and documentary styles. True to the vision of its founder, the mission of Blue Water Entertainment is to tell cinematically compelling, intentional, and empowering stories that make a difference in our world. Cinema is the place where dreams are made and where life stops. In the magic kingdom of story telling, Blue Water Entertainment’s slate of films focuses on current issues that impact our daily lives -- from politics, social justice and poverty to religion...and of course, the environment.

What began as inspiration has come to fruition with two award-winning documentary films: “Fields of Fuel,” winner of the 2008 Sundance Audience Award, and the feature documentary “Hollywood's Magical Island - Catalina” (2003), syndicated on American Public Television (APT). A new feature film, “Rooted in Piece,” is currently in production
